The main compartment is roomy enough for a day’s worth of snacks and tools, and the old-school leather strap feels sturdy without being stiff. It clips onto my belt just like the originals, which makes carrying it a breeze. Exactly the kind of rugged, no-frills bag I was hoping for.

I've been using this as my daily carry for tools and snacks, and the simple buckle closure is surprisingly quick to open one-handed. The olive drab color fits right in with my hiking gear, and it's held up well on a few muddy trails already.

The canvas is thick and stiff at first, but after a few days it loosens up and molds nicely to my hip. I use it for hiking snacks and it frees up my jacket pockets completely.
