The locking mechanism clicks into place with that satisfying, solid snap you'd expect from a real GI-issue piece, and the blade's edge still shows clean factory grinding. It's heavier than a reproduction, which makes it feel like the genuine wartime artifact it is, and the parkerized finish has that

The bluing is deep and even all the way down the blade, exactly what you'd hope for from a Grade 1. It locks into the lug with a satisfying click, no wobble at all. A serious piece of history for the shelf or the range bag.

The fit on my replica Garand is rock solid, locks up with that satisfying click you hope for. You can feel the weight of history in your hand, and the bluing still shows a nice even tone for its age. Exactly what I wanted to complete the display.
