The scrim option blends into the helmet so well it looks like a battlefield relic straight out of a photo. Everything fits together without any tweaking, which made my restoration project a lot less frustrating than I expected.
The netting fits snugly over the shell without any fuss, and the scrim option adds that proper field-worn look I was after. My restoration finally feels complete, and the pieces have a solid, authentic weight to them.
The scrim and netting options are exactly what I needed to finish my shell, and the components look period-correct down to the stitching. Assembly took me an afternoon, but the fit on my M1 is snug and secure. This set saved me from hunting through flea markets for weeks.
