The metal has a nice heft to it, feels solid in the hand rather than cheap and hollow. It's a clean reproduction that should hold up well for years of reenactment use.

Used it for a reenactment event last weekend and the aged finish really sells the look up close. The prongs line up cleanly with the holes, so no fiddling around when you're getting geared up. Solid buy for the price.

The engraved details on the face are crisp and clean, which is exactly what I wanted for my reenactment kit. It's a solid reproduction for the price, though the finish feels a bit more matte than I'd have liked for a parade look.
