The cut-down profile gives it a rugged, no-nonsense heft that feels right at home in a field collection, and the grade 2 condition shows honest wear without falling apart. The grind marks on the cut edge are honest field wear, and the steel still has a solid heft that feels right in hand. Grade 2 is fair for the pitting near the ricasso, but it's a piece of history you can actually handle.

The cut-down job is clean and looks like a genuine field modification, not a bubba hack. The bluing has a nice honest wear that tells a story, and the grip feels solid in hand. Exactly what I wanted for my collection.
